Bassist, double bass player and composer with acomprehensive training and an extensive professional career.
His broad production as a composerincludes music for theatre, cinema, dance, advertising and audiovisual in general.
So far he has recorded 67 albums and/or DVDs, in which he has workedwith Germán Coppini, TsukikoAmawaka, Mark Sanders, Banda Crebinsky, María Toro, Antonio Lizan, “3 Azoteas”, Carlos Martin, Triatone, Paraphernalia, SPJ, or OMEGA among others.
As well, he has taken part in several festivals, such as the internationally renowned World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) festival, in two editionsheldin Tenerife and Santiago, in the Getxo International Jazz Festival, in Jazzaldia in Donostia-San Sebastián, in the SONAR festival, in the Festival of“L´Orient” held in Brittany, in the Interceltic Festival of Glasgow, or the international Festival of Panama among others.
In addition to all this, he has won several composition awards such as:
1st Prize for the best original music for the O.S.T. of the film “Crebinsky" in the 16thSpanish Film Festival in Toulouse in 2011 (France).
1st Prize for the best original music for the O.S.T. of the film “Crebinsky" inthe Oaxaca International Film Festival in 2011 (Mexico).
1st prize in the World Music category, awarded by ‘Músicosao Vivo’ in 2013 and 2016.
1st Prize for the best European women's voice group (as the music arranger) for Anubía’s album "Segredo aVoces" in the International Festival of Asti (Italy).
Finally, he was a finalist in the Maestro Mateo Awards and won the 4th prize in the Independent Music Awards.
Pablo Pérez Sanmamed
Pianist and composer with training in both classical and modern music. He started his jazz studies with Javier Constenla, Carlos Castro, Carlos Calviño, Roberto Somoza and Marcelino Galán, among others.
Also, he attended master classes with Victor Wooten, Andy Philips and Celia Wall. Nowadays, he is part of projects ineducational classical music and silent cinema with live music (with the group “Cuarteto Ancestral”), in Jazz orFusion (1045, Miguel Lamas Together, Hot Chocolates, Pablo Sanmamed Trio, Corema, “3 azoteas”, Batmacumba, Cold Sweat, Jose Somoza Big Band and Pepe Never), in pop rock groups (like Jane Joyd, Brothers in Band, Slam The Doors) as well as an accompanying pianist in lyrical, modern and traditional genres (with Cesáreo Torres, Carmen Rey, Begoña Lorenzo and Xoán Eiriz)
Iago Mourinho
He began to study music at the age of 17 in the EMMC (Local School of Music of ACoruña) where he studied for 8 years, mainly in the field of drums/percussion with Miguel Cabana and musical language and harmony with Lalo Carnota and J.L. Acuña.
Also, he attended several jazz seminars, such as those taught by Jeff Jerolamon and Brazilian music seminars with Joâo Bosco, as well as different masterclasses such as those performed by Greg Bissonette, Angel Rey or Yoel Páez.
In 2012 he won the national contest of Jazz and Fusion Bands organized by the Fnac and the Paideia foundation with the group“Alfredo Garcia Quartet”.
He has taken part in several records like “Time for heroes” “On the Windowsill” and “Western Tree” (Cardigan Bridge), “Aid Head” (Aid Head), “Las gafas deFlotto” (Nacho Varela), “Beluga...se desnuda” (Fer Beluga), “Reading into a new path” (Alfredo García) and “Desconhecido” (Xiao Berlai). Finally, he is currently endorser of Murat Diril (Turkish Cymbals) and Santafe Drums (Custom Drums).
